As you probably know by know Facebook cannot be ignored. And that's why Kynd Outdoors has a page for each activity.
In addition, we have apps on Facebook that allow you to do most of the same things you can do on the Kynd site.
We also use the Facebook API throughout the site so that we can integrate the actions our users take with their Facebook accounts (if they so choose of course).
Kynd posts frequent updates to Twitter (@id3ma)
Every hour or so Kynd Outdoors sniffs around for new posts. If new content has been posted, we send an update to twitter. This keeps our twitter followers in the know.
Destinations, reports, pictures, videos, blogs, etc... If any of those get updated, Twitter knows about it.
Kynd has a group on LinkedIn

Kynd takes social seriously
65% of online adults use social networking sites
That percentage is up from 61% one year ago
That's more than double the percentage that reported social networking site usage in 2008 (29%)
For the first time in Pew Internet surveys it means that half of all adults (50%) use social networking sites
"The pace with which new users have flocked to social networking sites has been staggering" said Pew Internet
When Pew first asked about social networking sites in February of 2005, just 8% of internet users - or 5% of all adults - said they used them
Kynd fully embraces the social audience
Kynd Outdoors already has three apps on Facebook and each one generates traffic to the Kynd website, as well as the businesses sites that utilize Kynd
We want to stay up to date with the APIs that social websites like Facebook and Google + offer so that we can update our apps accordingly and make the detailed destination information Kynd has available on social sites
Apps Apps Apps!!!
We offfer mobile apps for each outdoor activity Kynd offers
We want to make sure the Kynd website and Kynd apps always offer the same destination data on all devices
