Descriptions
1. The Upper Willamette River is located just north of Eugene, Oregon. Fly
anglers will find a stream full of nice cutthroat and rainbow trout. The
fly fishing pressure is low due to the poor access. Once you are on the
river though you are in business. In the upper reaches the Willamette
River is a freestone river with typical characteristics like riffles,
runs, and pools. The dry fly fishing is very good here as the insect
population and activity is good. The Willamette is an easy river to wade.
Down on the Willamette near Portland there is good steelhead and salmon
fly fishing.
