If I were going out I'd be covering a lot of water, casting poppers to log jams and structure and looking for tailing carp. Don't underestimate these water hogs, they can be spookier than hell and you must be stealthy and accurate with your casting. Conneaut Creek is located in Ashtabula County and was recently designated a State Wild and Scenic River. The designation provides state protection to a 21 mile stretch of the creek. Conneaut Creek is a popular destination for fly anglers due to the high quality steelhead fishing. Warmwater fly fishing is good for smallmouth too. (08/12/2008 at 12:21 AM by aidema) 2. Crick was still high, changing from a darker brown back to clear.
