1 - EXCELLENT on 05/16/2010
Good. Water level is below 500cfs and very good hatchs. A few mayflies, lots of caddis and a few sulphurs.

2 - GOOD on 05/01/2010
The river is recovering from the flood, where it was at 14ft. The BSR is moving at 654 cfs today. There was a good caddis hatch all day from 1030 till 130 when I left. Water is clear. Temp was 58f. tried nymphing caddis and stone flies but know takers the first hour as I moved down the river. Moved to a sinking tip and a small streamer pattern and caught 3 Bows in 30min. No surface action. Most have not been able to fish here because of the flooding opening day was the second Saturday in April. Another 100 cfs drop off and we could work are way up to excellent.

4 - POOR on 04/04/2010
Blackstone River is coming down to 3000cfs after a historic flood here in RI. Was at 14000+ cfs on Wed of last week. Was stocked Last Weekend by the RI DEM.

BSR has been high sence the fall stocking only been able to fish it once sence Columbus day.

2 - GOOD on 10/12/2009
Fished Saturday morning, fish became a little active after the sun came up. Water level was at 455 cf/sec, water temp was at 60.

"Blackstone has been stocked for the winter. The river is running at about 475 cuft/sec. after rain this week bring up the water level, will fish in the morning and update Saturday. "

"Fished Saturday morning no hook ups or bites but the 2 guy in front of me caught 5or6 Bows on spinning rod. Had a few Bows jump up in front of me. Nymphed and tried eggs and a few dries."
