FREE Services for Every Member
Blog

Bloggers who add their feed link to Kynd Outdoors and then follow the linking instructions can take advantage of our blog service. This service takes all blog posts that have been validated and publishes them within 24 hours on KyndOutdoors.com. Because they are published here, that means they are instantly published on Facebook and Twitter. In addition, they will show up in Google's search results and will have a direct link back to the original blog.

Google Maps
|
|
Kynd members are able to post their trip maps utilizing Google Maps and Kynd's interactive technology so other members can understand where they visited.

Facebook
|
|
Any activity that a member posts about a Kynd destination will get posted on Facebook. This means that not only will content related to destinations (pictures, reports, etc) be published on KyndOutdoors but on Facebook as well.

|
YouTube
|
|
The YouTube service sniffs out a Kynd member's specific tag and brings the videos into the site. That means a Kynd member can add a tag to their YouTube video(s) and when the service finds it, it will pull it into the site and post it within 48 hours.

Widget
|
|
The widget services allow members to publish their Kynd content anywhere on the Internet. Currently Kynd offers the following widgets: Reports, Pictures, News, Blogs. If a member posts any content in one of those categories it will show up on the widget. Then whenever that widget is published (code gets copied/pasted) on a site or blog, the content is published as well.

PDF
|
|
The PDF service allows users to print out or send PDF documents for specific Kynd destinations. This allows people to take the content (most of it) they find on the destination details page and either share it with someone as an attachment or print it and take it with them to the destination.

Twitter
|
|
The Twitter service takes certain content each day and publishes it to Twitter. The feed (.xml format) is also available by clicking on the title of the day's post from twitter's site. http://www.twitter.com/id3ma

Report
|
|
The report service takes all report content from a specific Kynd member and makes it available via RSS (.xml) or a Flash (.swf) widget. Anytime a report is added the site will remind you how to take advantage of this.

Services for Businesses (Free!)
Google Maps
|
|
|
Any valid businesses that lists their latitude and longitude will get a pinpoint on the Google Map that displays for the state where the business is located. The map is interactive and when the pushpin is clicked a balloon will display more information for that business along with a link to the business details page.

Directory
|
|
Any valid businesses that lists their details on the site gets a free listing on the Kynd Business Directory. Similar to Blacks, but free, this list is an excellent resource and you should get your business on it now.

Reservation
|
|
On the details page for a business, Kynd Outdoors posts an option for the user to contact or make a reservation with the business. This service will put the business in touch with prospective clients who want to travel to the businesses vicinity.
|
|
Listing
|
|
The listing service puts valid businesses on the destination details page for all destinations the business indicates that they focus on. That means that outdoor enthusiasts looking for information on a specific destination will see the business name listed if the business services it.

|
|
The leads service will send businesses a notification when a potential client is identified.
|

Report Update
|
|
The report update service will notify all Kynd members who follow a business when that business has added a destination report (also called trip report).
