Report details
The Mighty Muskegon river has settled down a bit in flow after getting a nice shot of water this past week due to runoff from warm weather. We have steelhead and lake run brown trout in nearly all stretches of the Muskegon, with the upper portions near Newaygo, Michigan seeing the most angling pressure. We should be good for the next month+ of fishing due to recent water, which brought additional fish into the river system. Fishing for resident trout with lighter tippets and scaled down nymph patterns is working well also.
