Report details
Winter is here, however so are fresh steelhead to catch ! Recent warm temps helped in snow melt and finally brought the Muskegon river up close to near normal flows. Should be good fishing through early January....especially if you know where to go !
Destination flow:

Water clarity:
Not available
Water temp:
upper 30's
Flies:
small black stones, hare's ear, scuds, caddis, sparse soft hackles & .......EGGS !
Additional comments:
We're entering the cold days of early winter and it's best to fish slower than a month+ ago, when we had water temps in the mid 40's or higher. Fish WILL eat, you just have to work them a bit harder. Call or email for the latest river conditions, general feedback, or if interested in a Winter Special guided trip.
