Fishing Overview:
Currently the conditions on Valley are LOW and CLEAR. Approach will be a critical component for success right now. Stay low and fish upstream. Mother nature is also working against us, with leaves really starting to accumulate in the stream. This can be a nuisance, especially when nymph fishing.
Specifics and Tips:
Small flies, sizes 18-24, light tippets, 6 or 7X, and long leaders will be par for the course. BWO patterns for surface feeding fish. Small PT nymphs, Zebra midges and scud patterns for sub-surface.
Hatches:
Wow, had clients on the stream yesterday and had fish up and feeding on small Beatis for close to two hours! A real fun day. Break out your BWO patterns.
