Latest trip report: Lake Hodges
1 - EXCELLENT on 11/15/2008
Fishing in San Diego Bay is prime right now. The weather is perfect, the water temperature in the 60's and the fish are hungry. Various flies (minnow, crab, forage imitations) are producing 30-50 fish a day. Large spotted bay bass, juvenile white sea bass, jack smelt, halibut, barred sand bass, yellow fin croaker, and even pacific bonefish are active and fun to catch on light (6 weight) gear with full sinking and intermediate sinking lines. These fish hit the flies hard and give a good fight. Lot's of fun.
