The "middle" Weber River is one of our favorite rivers to take our clients
to because of the solitude and crowdless waters. The middle section,
between Echo and Rockport Reservoirs, is a great fly fishing river and has
many of the characteristics that the Provo River has...minus the crowds.
This Blue Ribbon stretch of river can be tough at times but the rewards of
catching a large trout are always worth it. The middle section has roughly
10 miles of prime trout water, maintained by natural reproduction, and is
artificial flies and lures only. Since this section is a tailwater we're
able to fish it year-round. The majority of the time we catch Brown Trout
and Whitefish mixed in with some nice Rainbow and Cutthroat trout.
