The Queets River is a very scenic fly fishing destination in the Olympic
Peninsula. The Queets flows through the Olympic National Park and
eventually into the Pacific. Fly anglers target the large steelies during
the winter months (January through March). The Queets also offers fly
fishing for summer steelhead which can be caught in the fall. In addition
to the excellent steelhead fishery, fly fishing for both chinook and coho
salmon can produce. Some fly anglers catch Dolly Varden as well.
