French Creek is managed entirely for wild trout populations and there is
no stocking activity. The two upper branches of French Creek support wild
brook trout but fly anglers in seach of wild browns fish below the
confluence of the two branches. The highest brown populations are in the
area downstream of French Creek Dr. with numbers approaching 2500 brown
trout per mile of stream. The fly fishing is excellent here and please
practice catch and release.
