The Delaware River is located in Southcentral New York on the Pennsylvania
border. Fly fishing is good and the Delaware is know for being one of the
best wild trout fisheries in the US. Fly anglers like that there is an
abundance of insects and wild trout. The Delaware River (or Big D as some
fly anglers call it) is the only major Catskill River that is not stocked
with trout. Fly anglers know that despite the lack of stocking it
contains a good number of both rainbow and brown trout, some of which are
very large.
