Walhalla State Fish Hatchery is owned and operated by the SC Department of
Natural Resources and is the only hatchery that produces trout. The
stocking program does put trout in the homewaters, the East Fork of the
Chattooga River, as it runs through hatchery grounds. Access is easy here
and fly fishing is good.
