Hows it goin? August is a little early for flesh. You'll mostly be fishing beads and egg patterns which is probably more effective. Where in AK are you going? (MidRiverRendezvous on 4/30/11)
Thanks for getting back to me. We'll be hitting Kenai Peninsula. We will fishing the Kenai probably one day, then hope around to the Anchor,Kasilof, Quartz, Russian, Moose And Swanson creek. My hopes is to get into some Silvers of course, but we really want some sweet Rainbow and Dolly action as well. And our guide said they we're hitting some awesome Steelhead late August on the Anchor. Randy, Thanks for the compliment on my little Yellowstone brown. After seeing your collection, I am in awe. I will be on the Gallitan in late July, Any reccomendations on where the hogs are would be greatly appreciated. (Duane on 4/30/11)
Nice Randy - awesome you're hitting Kenai. You've got to check out Kodiak sometime. My family owns Kodiak Legends Lodge () - incredible fresh and saltwater fishing as well as hunting for deer and waterfowl. You should come up to Kodiak for the fall steelhead run - you can catch 40-50 steelhead in a day floating and fishing the Karluk. We've got 50% off for remaining 2009 dates - if you can't make a 09 trip, come check us out in 2010. Have a great trip! (trentkososki on 4/30/11)
Thanks for the comments Randy. I grew up in Sandy (JHS 93') I thought I went out of the way to fish, nothing compared to you though. Its nice to see that you have been able to capture alot of it on camera for all of us to enjoy. I just recently joined FFC and love it. It makes me feel (almost) normal to see so many others with the same addiction. Hahaha As soon as I find the cable for my camera I will be adding other pictures. Its kind of fun to see other fishing your home waters isn't it? Will be fishing the Blackfoot here soon with Jim Mitchell . Then off to Upstate this fall for the big brown chasing salmon. Take care my friend.<br> (carythayne on 4/30/11)
Sounds like a long 2 months ahead for you bud (waiting for Alaska trip). I'm always game for fish, especialy when I go with people I can learn a ton from. Plane for NY leaves a couple weeks before thanksgiving. I'll keep ya posted, low cost trip and tons of action! No need for a guide, I've been there several times. Congrats on the Alaska trip, Dollies and Silvers are on my list. Plus, I bet those AK Steelies are toads. (carythayne on 4/30/11)
